Biography

Fresh Productions is an independent music production company based out of Boca Raton, Florida that was started in 1998 by DJ R-Fresh .

DJ R-Fresh is native to South Florida and began his career as a Miami Bass ,Freestyle & Hip Hop DJ in the early 80's.He has kept his sound over the years through the evolution of the latest underground dance music by combining the elements of Breakbeat,House,Trance & Ambient music.

DJ R-Fresh is best known for his assortment of mega-mix tapes that were put out in the 90's and his ground-shaking sets performed throughout the United States to date.

DJ R-Fresh has a style all of his own, you will be amazed as he scratches, blends, drops, and mixes the latest records of today, with the sounds of yesterday, taking you on a journey throughout his entire set. If you have never experienced the sounds of DJ R-Fresh, make it a point because he is one DJ that should not be missed or overlooked.

In other words;
I'm was born in 1972, started DJing in H.S. My Sophomore year, been collecting vinyl since 84. Then I was spinning Bass , Hip Hop & Freestyle. Around 89-90 I started not liking Miami Bass music because I felt it was turning to "Bootyish" & didn't have the same flavor. Hip Hop started going to shit to in my opinion (hate it now) so I started listening to House / Techno. In 93 I got more into the House / Rave scene as a club kid then started actively DJing again as a profession. My sound is known for mixing the Old with the Nu. Playing the latest Breaksbeat tracks of today while layering , mixing & scratching the classic sounds of the 80's in with it. Now I continue to DJ , travel around a bit, established myself off some infamous megamix tapes that I used do the "tape edit" way (pause, record, pause ,record 4 track style) from the mid 90's (here's one that was very popular from 96).

I've put out a few vinyl's on my label Fresh Productions with the helps of other engineers. Now I'm currently trying to learn my gear so I don't have to rely on others to make tunes. I use Ableton Live which is VERY easy & convenient to use.
