Question Earplugs?

I think it's time I got me some earplugs to preserve what little hearing I have left. I'd like something professional grade so that I can still enjoy the music. Do you guys have any suggestions / approximate prices?

i haven't used ear plugs much...but the first time i ever went to a club, i was given some sort of waxy things to mold into your ear. they worked well; i don't think they were expensive. i've used them a few times, actually.

but, i've never used any other kind, so i can't compare them to anything else.

best thing to do, what I use when I play live, is go to Guitar Center and buy Hearos for Drumers. Really cuts the frequencies that are gonna kill you. But you can still hear fine to mix. They're great.

Alison and I got the custom plugs from westone:

it was cheaper than that, about $120, and sometimes insurance will cover it.

i forgot to add that i think they are a great idea. my hearing is starting to go and i suspect it was from all the hardcore shows i used to go followed by parties and clubs. alison has had hers since the hardcore days and swears by them. im also giving them 2 thumbs up.

WHAT YOU SAY?!?!

I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

I had my ears ringing from going to clubs too often and that shit lasted for two days and was painful! The worst it's ever been...

I definetly want some ear plugs. Also I have cut the yellow foam type earplugs in half and they seems to filter some of the loud noise and you also cannot see them sticking outta your ears but stopped using them because the sound wasn't quiet the same but hey I wonder how well the really expensive ones work.

I work with a deaf guy and listen to house music usually at work. Can you imagine never in your lifetime experience any style of electronic music in your life or anything for that matter?! jesus, i can't.
