14/01 Magda @ Nouveau Casino (Paris, fr)

Nice to have such a talent being lined- up with two local and gifted djs. "Nouveau Casino " is a little electro/rock/underground club (3-400max) in a very lively district called Oberkampf.
Went there around 1am when Sety and choco were alternatively mixing and they gave the crowd a terrefic house set ... warm and minimal, slowly growing to dynamic tech/house with no excess of anything, minimal in some ways but not dark ...very lively (even with some lyrics sometime ).
Magda arrived and took the deck around 2:30/3am... she jumped right into what the crowd was exepecting at that time... after maybe 10-15 minutes she was cruising right on the tracks the two residents prepared for her... magda took control heading to her rich and purified house.. much richer & dynamic of what i was expecting from her (probably due to the time in the "party lifecycle") anyway... was a really really entertaining set ...
I've only seen in the past her doing either opening or afterparty ... first time i saw her at a time of a party where she had to "cruise" instead of just leaving or reaching the harbour ...and she did pretty well...

On the top of it... she's so pretty smilin' charmin' ..... wahhh :p

Yeah ... Magda rocks!. She's a *very* talented dj in her own right -- well worth making an effort to go and see her play as the headliner, as well as frequent opening / afterparty duties with richie hawtin or richie vs ricardo villalobos. I've only had seen her twice really starting to cut loose on the deecks - Sonar in Barcelona this year, and at The End on the Bank Holiday Sunday in August earlier this year when Hawtin was delayed starting his set.

btw jon, in your post the link ifor nouveau casino is broken.
