The Glow board / TA meeting had a surprising turnout. I met so many new people -- I'll give a few shout outs later -- including a very cool Tatgirl from Toronto who was nice enough to take a million pics for us -- can't wait to see those shots of the crowd going nuts!

A little before 1, Johan walked past me as I was getting my usual spot in front of the DJ booth. He was already smiling. I got his new autographed CD (which is already rockin' in my car) no problem, then commenced to getting trampled on by about 100 other people. But it's all good.

Ever since he laid down PQM -- You Are Sleeping, I knew his set was going to be very hard-hitting, and Johan was all fired up -- getting into the crowd the way only he can -- practically commanding us to go nuts -- as he chanted lyrics with a big grin on his face, motioned for us to get our hands up, and jumped up and down probably just as much as i did. His tracks were hard and pumping one after another and I had to grab my side in pain from dancing so hard, but I just couldn't stop!

The whole crowd was singing right along with him when he dropped "As the Rush Comes" (Armin van Buuren remix) (gotta love that accapella at the end *shivers*) and a remix of "Beautiful Things" that i hadn't heard yet. PVD - "For An Angel" Nu-NRG mix was a very unexpected yet spectacular surprise for this die-hard PVD fan. "Air Traffic", "So Damn Beautiful", "Lethal Industry", "Blue Pill, Red Pill" (i don't think i heard that one since AVB was there), Marco V - "C:\del*.mp3", "Indigo".... (did I hear Mindcircus - way out west in there or was that a flashback from the afterparty? i cant remember) -- some great classics that were great to hear. While coming back from a walk to the bar, I got caught up with the crowd in the back during Underworld - "Born Slippy" and had a blast with all that room to dance. It wasn't overpacked but that awesome vibe was stronger than ever.

Enjoyed the later part of his set from the balcony view up in VIP. Nothing compares to watching him work that crowd so relentlessly. Every time i tried to sit down and catch my breath it never lasted long before his music compelled me back to the dance floor for another heart-racing round.

And his final encore track pick of the night couldn't have been more perfect -- "Gate of Heaven" -- nice closer. I'm already dying to know when he'll be back again. Thanks Glow for yet another night that I'll never forget, and which my feet are still dancing to the music stuck in my head as I try to sleep for the first time in 3 long days. These 2 "Glow Girls" are now 6 hours back in PA... counting down the days to Tiesto. " />

Johan Gielen @ Glow, DC

Pete warmed up our feet nicely with some really great tracks, but that was to be expected. He played a song with some beautiful female vocals that made me and NuBreed look at each other and say "I have to find out what this song is!" But we couldn't make out any distinct lyrics so we'll probably never know what it is. Anyway, kick-ass job Pete, as usual.
