that I was let down by Diggers and that I was not really that impressed but I think I have changed my mind. It's a different mix from John Digweed. Well not really because I don't think that any of his cds are ever similar. This one is very progressive and tech and bounces between multiple genres and features music from artists that span such an wide band of styles.
Opens with a great 16b remix of Pete Moss's- Strive to Live! Nice and trippy way to open into a track with a great bass line. Adam Johnson's - Traber is very tech and has a good bass line. Track 3, Repair - Forgive and Forget, has an extreamly similar beat and has a nice repetitive female vocal. Track 4, Dj RaSoul - True Science , is also very techy with a great break in the middle that is a sample of a claranet or jazz sax I think (don't know too much about the brass family ). Great transition into track 5's bass giutar driven breaks, The Glass - Won't Bother Me. Oh man HOT!---> Track Six Billy Dalessandro - In The Dark, is a darker tech track that is what gets this cd really started. This was the point were my head finally started to bob. I'm not a huge fan of track 7 Bobby Peru - Venom because I don't like it when there is distortion used in tracks. Great mixing here though because you could swear that track 8 Martin Sloveig's - Rocking Music is still just the tail end of track 7. Track 9 starts the party with Slam's - Lie to Me . Very Electro and the synths really make this songs 4+ minutes roll by quckly and pumps into Angel Alanis - Knob Job which I can just imagine myself going crazy to at Crobar next month (PLEASE PLAY IT!!) Catchy distorted vocal of some guy saying "on and on" over and over. Track 11 has Josh Wink's name and Ovum sound all over it. I think I remember him playing this a while back at Fluid in Philly. Althought with all the live remix work her does in sets... who knows.... anyway! Yes... It's by Infusion and called Better World Track 12 Superpitcher - Happiness features that "Are you Happy" SPEAK n SPELL sample which I hate, but still kicks with a nice bass line. Standout tracks... Duh the closers tracks 13 and 14 are records that are going to get a lot of searches at shops and online stores. The track 13 Joel Mull - Emico has a nice break in the middle that creates a great build up and release. Oh my god track 14 Matrix and Danny - Vertigo All I can say is Female vocals and sweet bassline to finish. This track is the best reason to throw $14 at Amazon.

John Digweed: Fabric 20
by mig: 03-14-2005

It's so funny because this cd was really hard for me to listen to at first. I told Neo(has wet dreams of Digweed)lite that I was let down by Diggers and that I was not really that impressed but I think I have changed my mind. It's a different mix from John Digweed.
