I cut and pasted from Amazon.com there and don't want to take any credit for that. I thought that they discribed the method that this fantastic comp was recorded in very well. This cd starts off nice and calm and really builds well. The first 10 minutes are so relaxing and the cd really only lags for me with the Spanish lyrics in track 5. But what the hell do I know? It picks up pace with the start of track 8 and does not stop. And the last few tracks 11-13... oh god...

I really want to push this cd on you, because it is totally amazing. Inside the booklet that comes with this cd there is a mix timeline where you can see which deck is playing at any given time and it's unreal to see how intricate the production of this album was. All these fantasticly chosen tracks from big names that totally speak for themselves all cut up and dropped into this perfect cd mix that is nothing like anyone has ever seen before.

My God! 5 decks!!! FIVE!!! Who does that? It's just too damn difficult! I can only imagine how many times he fucked this up before he got it right!

(this is my reconstructed version of the tracklist with the samples that were not listed added in)
1. Cosmic Baby - A Tribute To Bladerunner Vol. 1 (LA main titles)
2. Rabbit in The Moon - Waiting For the Night
3. Art of Silence- West 4 (Beat Foundations Crowd Control Dub)
4. Habersham - Gently Shifting People (Relysis Monentary Lapse of Reason)
5. TwoFourteen - Her Stereo Malanger
6. Hawke - Vivos La Muerte
7. Steiger - Ghost Sector
8. PMT - Afro Lavalamp
9. Young American Primitive - Voyage To The Great Attractor 10. Gavin Hardkiss - See The Love Infinite (Rabbit In the Moon Remix)
11. Trafik - Surrender (Habersham & Blake Potter Remix)
12. Matthew Dekay - Bad
13. Andy Ling - Fixation (Evolution and Hamel Remix 2005)
14. Forme - Ignition

Bottom Line- 10/10

This is the best cd mix I have purchased in a long time. Prob since I got Desyn Masiello's OD_0.1. I really hope that these Bedrock cds sell because this so far the first two installments have been so awesome! BUY THIS! " />

Jonathan Lisle: Bedrock OS_0.2
by mig: 03-16-2005

Mixed live using five Pioneer CDJ-1000 Mk. II's and a Korg Z1 synthesizer, every track has been de-constructed, the loops re-created using all the elements of each track and mixed live over the top or to put it another way you might hear a drum loop mixed over track 3 which consists of a snare from track 5 and a kick from track 7!

OS_02 opens with futuristic ambient soundtrack Cosmic Baby's a tribute to Bladerunner layered with breakbeats of Relysis' mix Habersham "Gently Shifting People" and vocals of Rabbit in the Moon's cover of Depeche Mode's "Waiting for The Night". In the mix's first 15 minutes, 5 tracks have weaved in and out of each other, often 3 tracks at once!)
