Wow. What a night! I know I start a lot of my reviews as such; but this one definitely deserved it! From the time I was inside until I left early in the morning, it felt as though I was in another world. It was really cool to see the "Forces of Nature" setup and sound effects upon entrance. Though I do not smoke, the cigarette"pod" was also a really wicked addition!

Upon entrance I was treated to the opening dj's set. It was a nice mixture of classic to vocal house which I completely appreciated. I felt bad because not many people were dancing up front; but we were all definitely listening and pleased with what we heard. I took quite a few minutes at the beginning taking pictures and video of the completely new additions to the set-up. The added INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH projectors were absolutely WICKED! I definitely liked the video set-up and hope to see it in future parties. I counted a total of 10 projectors displaying visuals all over the hall. It was also really cool to see the new way the stage was oriented. I liked how the dancing platforms which the "Bad Ass Bitches" took complete control over gave a visual feeling of being sucked in to the front. The dj booth was at it's typical spot, about fifteen feet back; I would have liked to see it moved closer up to the front. It did serve a purpose though when dealing with the pyrotechnics that were used and the random people running up on stage to dance and/or meet the dj.

Marc Vedo was hardcore; I don't mean the type of music...but his set us up perfectly for the aura of Boy George. He spun some wicked progressive house to vocal house which we all enjoyed greatly. His way of dealing with the crowd really go us going. It is always nice to see that the crowd was going just as nearly as crazy for him as they were for Boy George; a common pattern I have noticed at a lot of parties with the "opening dj" and the "headliner."

About the time Boy George went on, we were greeted with ten foot flames all across the stage behind them.??It was so spectacular even Boy George turned around and commented to Marc Vedo on it. When Boy George spun his first record, the already pumping crowd erupted to a whole new level of energy. The vibe was absolutely amazing. I don't know if it was the aura surrounding Boy George or the way he handled himself, his music, or both; but it completely blew me away. I completely enjoyed every track he played. I was shocked to see him NEVER don his headphones! He simply placed one side of the headphones to his head every once and a while to cue up the next song.

I was disappointed that he left an hour early (from the previously advertised set time) but was greeted by some incredible tunes from the closer dj. The last time I had seen him spin was during Armin Van Buuren. Unfortunately like most events, the main crowd left. I feel bad for them because the closer dj spun his heart out and those of who stayed were in for a real treat.

Overall, and excellent night with some amazing improvements to the venue! It was very classy to book Boy George and I hope to see him grace the Republic of Korea with his presence again.
