Friday = Went up to Fabric in London with Metro, such a blinder! Got there about 1030 when Jo Jo de freq was playing a nice pumping bouncy set and the place was already half rocking. Soulwax then came on, if you don't know em they are a band including the guys from 2many djs but in suck arse rock star rather than super star dj form. They sucked arse with indie, punkie, rock for 45 mins (which I don't really mind but ain't right in a club like that) then thankfully fucked off. I suspect that Fabric booked Soulwax to play only coz they had to, to get the 2many djs booking!?

Jacques le cont stepped up and I was instantly in heaven, he worked the crowd up again subtly with a few lovely house tracks featuring guitar riffs, then dropped in some dirty filtered beats which the crowd went wild for. (Grey Day and a top mix of Sweet Dreams for example) His sound is so fresh he's jumped right up my respect list.

2many djs then played a filthy set to redeem themselves from the Soulwax nightmare, the place was going mad! Not as varied in musical styles as their cds but totally appropriate for that night.
Mylo played the final set and he obviously doesn't take his mixing skills as seriously as his production. Good track selection but some right shady mixing, I really wanted to go up there and tell him to step aside but was too busy dancing around and chatting with a very cute chick on holiday from Tokyo, boy did she make my night even better than a great one!

Saturday = Got back to Metros place nearby at about 0700 to kick on a bit. Got 3 hours kip, necked some 5-htp, then we hopped on a train to my place in Brighton for part 2. A load of us went to one of my local clubs on the beach called 'The Honey Club' for a friends birthday celebration. It only holds about 700 but is a nice venue with 2 rooms, large balcony lounge/bar area, a loyal regulars crowd (including lots of quality eye kandy!) and pumping sound systems but is only open till 0400.
Brandon Block was playing in the main room with residents and they all churned out nice banging and dirty beats with the odd bit of breaks thrown in for good measure. The back room plays funky house tunes all night, we had a scream in the club, danced really hard again, then a group of us went to a mates flat for a mix and kick on party! It was complete mayhem coz everyone was , I was like , Metro looked like and it was a laugh a minute with more great tunes being churned out by myself and a buddy .

Sunday = The last people left at 0900, there was 3 of us left so we err played in the snow till the pub opened at 1100. Tried to drink some sanity back into ourselves, blatantly it just got more and more as the day wore on, had nice food, watched a couple of footy games and did the complimentary up the bar maid.

Went back to my mates at 2100 for a chinese and another snowball fight which finally ended very at 0130 this morn. Metro (who was on top form all w/e) had to go back to London for work at 0630 this morning and not much later myself but surprisingly we both felt fine when we got up!

That weekend rocked! " />
